RACHEL WALTER
My practice investigates the relationship between identity, place, and belonging. I am particularly interested in the concept of third spaces, environments that exist between the private and the public, where social boundaries become porous and personal expression emerges. Through a documentary approach, I consider how individuals inhabit these spaces and how such environments mediate collective and individual identity. My work seeks to articulate the quiet dynamics of presence, absence, and connection. Ultimately, I aim to contribute to a broader understanding of how spatial and social contexts shape contemporary notions of self and community.
